CSI
for Global Leaders Coaching Skills with
Emotional and Cultural
Intelligence
What is it about
Leaders are constantly aiming for higher
performance within tighter deadlines and increasing pressure.
Focus is so often concentrated on the bottom line, but research
indicates that by improving the competencies of emotional
intelligence, leaders can go from good to great. Leaders need
a high degree of awareness, about themselves as well as their
teams. Motivation of team members is critical, and this
involves an inclusive leadership style which encourages people to
think for themselves and act with responsibility. Leaders with
an international remit must also relate with their international
partners in an emotionally intelligent way. We call this
“Cultural Synergistic
Intelligence” – a combination of both Emotional and
Cultural Intelligence (EI and CI). We have created a workshop
which addresses these competencies and gives ample opportunity for
skills practice as well as reflection. Many participants use this
workshop to take stock of their current position, evaluate their
unused potential and to kick-start a new and exciting leadership
journey.
Benefits for participants This workshop gives leaders the
opportunity:
• to reflect on their leadership style, to
acknowledge their own EI and CI competencies and build on these for
higher performance; • to practice essential coaching
skills in order to transfer these to the workplace and inspire
team members to greater independence and
creativity.
Benefits for the organisation We have trained
over 300 international leaders from across the world for a Fortune
Top 10 global company. Leaders leaving the workshop report
that they can understand better how coaching helps to create a
climate where people thrive and are motivated to give their
best. They are empowered to work on their own self-development
and to practice a more inclusive, coaching style in the management
of their team members.
Who For Leaders and managers of international
teams.
How We
blend theoretical input with experiential activities and skills
practice. We aim to build a safe environment where
participants learn to share quickly on an emotional level. We refer
to recent and ongoing emotional intelligence research which draws on
the latest findings from neuroscience and has common-sense
implications for sustainable learning.
How long 2 day workshop plus follow-up individual or
team coaching sessions.
